Art for People's Inaugural Exhibition
Exclusive look at the art inside the storied townhouse evening lounge
After sharing art selections with all my subscribers, I also want to provide my paid subscribers access to the art inside People’s at 113 West 13th Street. The townhouse used to be the Downtown Gallery, launched by the legendary art dealer Edith Halpert in the 1920s. Relentlessly championing American artists, Halpert exhibited many now household names such as Georgia O’Keeffe, Jacob Lawrence, and Stuart Davis.
In homage to her legacy, the owners of People’s are also championing contemporary art, ensuring their guests are surrounded by exciting voices in the global visual art scene. I am over the moon to share the available artworks below, and I hope you will reach out to schedule a time to see the works in person or meet for a drink at People’s!
