Good morning and happy 2025! Welcome to the fourth year of Anne Parke Art Advisory newsletter. Whether you have recently joined or you are an OG patron, I am excited to have you here and I appreciate your curiosity for contemporary art.
A quick shoutout: I curate the contemporary art that is available for acquisition at the evening lounge People’s, which has received wonderful press recently. Please reach out if you would like to schedule a tour of the space and artworks before the inaugural exhibition ends at the end of the month. Some of you may recognize several of the artists at People’s that I have previously featured in this newsletter.
I would be remiss to have an introductory blurb without a Bronx Museum Emerging Patron event! Please join me and my co-chairs as we host an Art Collecting 101 panel on January 29th. The panel is part of a larger series that explores how to build an art collection, navigate galleries, attend art fairs, and optimize secondary markets at auction houses and online. Joining our Emerging Patron group will also give you access to additional gatherings and events, not to mention special pricing for our Bronx Museum Gala & Auction on April 7th!
I cannot stress this enough, even more so than Instagram stresses not to send DMs after 10pm, but the gala is WILDLY FUN and I hope many of you will buy tickets and support the museum’s incomparable support of contemporary art, civic engagement and educational resources.
Below are a few works as a preview to what a paid subscription to this newsletter provides - thank you all again to those who are already subscribers! I am in love with the selection of artworks below and I recommend paying attention to the incredible materials some of these artists are using in their work. Enjoy!!
